The Royal Enfield Bullet has a four stroke single cylinder engine with 499cc capacity, averaging around 70mpg and with a top speed of 70mph. You won't rip along on it, it is really designed to saunter, but having said that, it is a dependable, no-nonsense machine which is economical to run and maintain with spares readily available so what's not to like. The chassis is tough and the handling ok despite rather rudimentary suspension and old fashioned drum brakes.
