Here's a bit of news about the Monster Energy Yamaha team's performance in the Swedish MX GP at the weekend.

MX1
Monster Energy Yamaha’s Steven Frossard was back racing again at Uddevalla in Sweden on June 30th after a series of injuries.  He won the qualifying race on Saturday and finished eighth in the first Moto but was forced to retire in the second one, whilst riding in seventh position, because he cut his left arm in a crash.  All in all the French rider was satisfied with his performance this weekend and he is already looking forward to racing in Latvia next weekend.

MX2
Frossard’ s MX2 teammate Christophe Charlier nearly won the Swedish Grand Prix after dominating the first Moto and finishing third in the second one.  The French rider crossed the finishing line almost eight seconds ahead of the rider in second place.  In the second Moto, Charlier started sixth and by lap seven he was already third. However, the Yamaha rider found it really difficult to overtake the rider ahead of him and he had to settle for third position, which gave him the final result of second place in the Grand Prix, although he was tied in points with the winner. Charlier was very happy with this result, particularly because it was his first ever victory in the MX2 World Championship.  Charlier currently stands at fourth place overall in the MX2 World Championship standing.
