Swift Chain Heavy Duty SX-Ring

Swift Chain uses a combination of cutting edge technology and high-quality materials such as specially heat treated steel to make its chains more durable and of a higher strength than many other brands of chain. Heavy duty chains use a thicker inner plate than a standard chain of the same pitch.

X ring seals are designed to provide more contact surfaces than O-ring seals, with four contact points as opposed to two. This allows them to retain a higher level of lubrication within the links while keeping the dirt out, so that the chain not only stays cleaner but lasts longer. The X-ring has less total surface area within the link than an O-ring, which dramatically decreases the level of friction and wear.

Sealed chains require lubrication every 500km (300 miles) in order to prevent surface rust and ensure performance.
